Trauma Healing & Psychosocial Recovery
Conflict and climate shocks leave deep psychosocial wounds, while access to support is limited, especially outside cities.
What we doConvene safe, trauma-informed group healing and dialogue spaces; train community facilitators; connect people to clinical and protection services through referral.
Intended outcomeImproved confidence, coping, and sense of safety; stronger community support networks.
Peacebuilding & Social Cohesion
Conflict, terrorism, displacement, and inter-clan tensions weaken trust. Children and youth returning from armed-group involvement may face trauma, stigma, and barriers to safe reintegration.
What we doSupport inclusive community dialogue, peaceful dispute resolution, and safe reintegration pathways with child-protection, psychosocial, education, and rehabilitation services.
Intended outcomeGreater trust and cohesion, disputes handled peacefully, and safer reintegration for conflict-affected children and youth.
Peace & Education
Young people who have grown up amid conflict have limited spaces to build peace skills, leadership, and a sense of shared future.
What we doEngage youth in peace education and leadership development, with deliberate inclusion of young women.
Intended outcomeIncreased youth confidence, leadership, and constructive participation in community life.
Media, Storytelling & Advocacy
Survivor experiences are often told about survivors, not by them — sometimes in ways that risk re-traumatisation or loss of dignity.
What we doSupport ethical, consent-based survivor storytelling and produce survivor-led media and knowledge products for dialogue and advocacy.
Intended outcomeSurvivor voice amplified ethically; informed public and policy dialogue.
Climate Resilience & Disaster Recovery
Recurrent drought and flooding displace families and compound conflict-related stress, with little space to process climate-related loss.
What we doConnect climate-affected survivors to healing and dialogue; document climate experiences; support community-led resilience conversations.
Intended outcomeRecognition of climate-related loss; stronger community resilience conversations.
The same rules across all five
Voluntary, informed and revocable consent. Trauma-informed facilitation. Clan-balanced, conflict-sensitive engagement. And a referral pathway ready for anyone who needs specialist support.
